If you’re a case worker, or organisation supporting women and non-binary survivors of violence, we welcome referrals, always. We support survivors in their recovery and re-building by up-skilling and re-skilling through Australia's first virtual Hub focused on recovery and financial independence. It is often the beginning of their pathway to meaningful employment and careers in the digital economy.

A program of weekly, fortnightly and on-demand facilitated learning has women covered across wellbeing, money matters, personal and professional development.

Fit for the Future of Work (NSW Only)

We know women and non-binary people with lived DFV experience face multiple barriers to employment and gaining financial independence. That's why we have partnered with NSW Government to create a wrap around support program which includes digital skills training, specialist digital coaching program and paid employment opportunities.

Participants in the program follow a pathway to employment at either Humans of Purpose or one of our Employment Partners.

  • Women completing the initial two milestones will be placed into paid roles with partner employers or with Humans of Purpose, as digital assistants, customer support, administrative support roles.

  • Humans of Purpose delivers social content to customers so participants who go onto paid roles in Humans of Purpose will be producing social and other content for our customers. Alternatively, participants may work for one of our work-safe partners.

  • Participants will be offered employment on FTE salaries of at least $60,000 plus superannuation whether with our employer partners or Humans of Purpose.

  • It will really depend on the employment partners and what skills they need so we will need to identify those jobs where strong English skills are not mandatory. Many women graduating from this program will be doing social content production work, after being trained in specific applications. So the English language is not as important there.

  • We expect it to take six (6) months to undertake the digital skills training and mentoring to then be placed in paid employment. Of course, this will be faster for women who already have a high level of digital literacy and skill. Then they go on to work for 13 weeks or more in the paid role.

  • Yes, we see job interviews as a good experience for our participants. We want the women who enter our programs to get the skills they need for their employment lives beyond Humans of Purpose. We will ensure they gain exposure to job interviews by making it part of the process at our end, even if they will be going to be employed by Humans of Purpose. We will be supporting them through gaining this skill.

  • Yes, we understand participants may have things that happen that will interrupt their ability to participate in training or the Academy Coaches/Mentoring sessions. We hope during the Onboarding process that we can address this and encourage our participants to professionally communicate with ourselves and their mentors about any changes to agreements set out.. We will encourage participants to reconnect when they are able to restart the process.

  • Some casual work in that 6 months won’t exclude them from participating - we would assess on a case by case basis. Please flag this with your Academy contact to discuss if this appears to be a problem.

  • Clearly, this is our objective and what we want to achieve for people who join the program. As there are a number of factors that could impact the ability for this to happen, we can best explain the program as providing "Digital job readiness and job placement opportunities”
